Not so funny

Welp, so much for the pictures from West Virginia. Total taken = zero. So we get there, Im super pumped, we hit the slopes for night skiing, Im doing pretty okay and theeeeennn....I got brave. Imagine that, me attempting something even after Ive been told not to. I fall....I spin....I break. Literally, break my humerous in half. Not so funny, huh? Worst pain of my life and I have to go two hours without pain med and then get treated at Pocahontas (or however you spell that) Hospital. Finally had surgery last wednesday. A metal plate and ten screws. Soooo - whats up therapy???Ill be spending a few months with you. But soo thankful Michael was there to take such great care of me!

Feats of the week: I took a shower without help...yes, I need my independence back! My type A personality is not really interested in relaxing or letting someone else do things for me. I completed my first therapy session. Plus I was "rocking" in the words of my professor on my make-up exam, made an A and was thrilled! Plusss I aced my medical terminology quiz today. I felt brilliant, which was great, because to be honest I dont feel that way often. Usually its more along the lines of scatterbrained and stressed.

Japanese? Yes, Please. I have been craving allllll week and cannot wait to force bite after bite of deliciousness into my mouth tomorrow!


 

 Soo, I know this wasnt the most interesting blog but it was great venting .... so great. Promise to post something a little more entertaining next time. For now, back to the books and shoulder shrugging (i can hardly contain my excitement)

Exciting Stuff

Ahhh so many things to share!

First off, today is my babygirl's birthday! My little Callie Anna turned 9 today. Time flies, I cannot believe she has grown so fast. She is such an amazing little lady and the biggest blessing.

More birthdaysss...My oh so wonderful momma has a birthday on Sunday. I am so thankful for all of the sacrafices she has made for our family over the years. She has always found a way to provide for us and a way to put a smile on my face when things just arent going the way I think they should. Ive seen her on her knees praying for me, crying for me...there is no greater love than that. And I love her so much, to the moon and the stars.

Be thankful for people who love you...who stand by you...who know all your faults & failures and choose to love and stand by you anyway.

So, I went back to my naturalpath, or whatever she is called, doctor yesterday. Have never been more happy - inflammation and stress in all my organs dramatically decreased. Such an incredible thing!


COUNTING DOWN the days until WEST VIRGINIA! Soooo Excited!!!On Thursday, Im leaving for a little trip to go skiing. Its my first time, so lets just hope clumsy ol me doesnt hurt myself...eshhhh. Mike is taking me and we're going with some of my favorite couples! Dont worry - Ill post plenty of pichhhass :) Im loosing my "first real/exciting out of state trip virginity this weekend"  Kind of a big deal, for me that is. Seriously, I never do anything exciting. This is making me want to go places and see things, things that take my breath away...Looks like I need to start saving. In the meantime, I have tons...literally tons of school work to do. Blah. Not thrilled about all of my hardest classes in one semester but some structure and a full schedule will be good for me I suppose.
